It’s true that the application of new media and technology help teachers develop the proficiency they need to acquire the skills of selective monitoring, evaluating and adjusting their teaching strategies as follows;

                It open a whole world of  lifelong upgrading a professional development by providing courses at a distance,  a synchronous  learning and training on demand. (global learning)

                The use of new media and technology in schools have been increased in recent years

 

It can help to motivate teachers by breaking the professional isolation from which many suffer.

It can enhance the initial preparation by providing good training materials, facilitating simulations, capturing and analyzing practice teaching bringing into the training  institution world experience familiarizing trainees with source of materials and support and training potential teachers in the use of technologies  for teaching- learning.

Teacher can interact with students over a physical distance (according to cognition and technology group at Vanderbilt, 1992)

It helps teachers to expand beyond linear, text based learning and to engage students who learn best in other ways.

It differentiating instruction to meet individual needs

Technology provides high quality ongoing feedback to teachers  and students that can help guide the learning process, when technology mirrors how professional use it can enhance academic excellence.

Technology can support administration in providing instructional leadership, managing learning environment and professional learning communities and making decision that support proficiency in 21^st century skills (maximizing the impact 2007)

New media and technology help a teacher to have collaboration .Teachers are encouraged to collaborate with other teachers in developing departmental plans, organizing schemes of work and constructing class exams. 

Planning and preparation .Using technology and new media for education   has many benefits for the teacher. Planning and preparation is definitely one of them and Online forums help teacher to truck work and save to safe environment.

Ease of Access to information .Educators can find a lot of information and knowledge online for their subject areas and for all things

Student interest and motivation. A huge concern and challenge for all educators is the ability to retain the interest and motivation of students.
