New media is broad term covering
the different forms of electronic communication made possible through computer
technology (Teh, 2011)
New media is a 21st century
catchall term used to define all that is related to the internet and interplay
between technology, image and sound. In fact the definition of new media
changes daily and will continue to do so. For example video, CD, computer,
film, digitalized Tv and radio.

The new medias which are used by
teacher to enhance students’
organization of information that can help student retrieval and flexible use
are;
RADIO.
This will help learners to be
careful on listening to the radio so as to be easier for them to retrieve the
information.

Is a hard smooth white surface used
for writing or drawing on with markers
INTERNET
Through email teacher and student may share
information. For example, teacher can send or post a question, topic and
students can read or answer to the teacher.

A teacher may use video aggregator
like you tube by preparing a video concerning a particular subject and upload
it on you tube for students to learn.
Generally, new media in the
classroom engage students in leaning and provide a richer experience, media are
useful tools illustrating a lesson, allow student to see example of what they
learn also media helps to appeal a multiple learning style like visual, auditor
and kinesthetic learners, they creates an authentic learning experience,
strengthens critical thinking skills and teaches students to use media.
